About Sandra Moon

estate planning attorneySandra Moon has been a life-long resident of Lake County, Illinois. She was born in Highland Park and grew up in Deerfield.

Sandra has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education from Northern Illinois University and received her law degree from ITT-Chicago-Kent University. She started practicing law in 1995 and opened her sole practice specializing in Estates and Trusts in 2008. Today, she continues to practice as an estate-planning attorney and focuses on the Lake County, Illinois area.

She is also an adjunct professor in the Paralegal Studies Program at the College of Lake County, teaching Probate Law, Real Property Law, Elder Law and Law Office Technology.

Sandra likes to give back to the community through volunteering. She has served on three boards (AWALC, LVLC and Altrusa) and remains an active member of Altrusa, Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County (AWALC), and Waukegan Women’s City Club, as well as the Lake County Bar Association. She also helps out at the Guardianship Help Desk tied to the Probate Court.

Sandra is married to her husband, Earl Allen who has three married daughters and eight grandchildren. When they can get away,  they like to travel around the country and see the sights and experience what the United States has to offer. Some of her favorite leisure activities are traveling, reading, bowling and crocheting.
